Oats Masala Idli Recipe


1/2 cup rawa

1 carrot finely chopped

1 small size onion finely chopped

1 green chilli

1 Tsp cumin powder

1/4 Tsp termeric powder

4-5 curry leaves

1/2 -1/2 Tsp cumin and musturd seeds

1/4 cup curd

1 cup of water(as per batter consistency)

Salt as per taste

Oil 3 Tsp

Hing 2 pinches

Eno fruit salt 1/4 tsp


(1) Take a pan and dry roast the oats first and then grind well. 

(2) Then take a big bowl transfer the oats powder in it, and in the same pan heat up the oil and add hing, cumin, musturd seeds, curry leaves, green chilli.

(3) And then let's them sputter, then add onion and cook for 30-40 secs then add carrot, Rawa & all the dry spices and Mix well and cook for 30 secs more.

(4) And then transfer this mixture into oats powder , add curd and mix it well, and then you need to add water according to batter consistency (idli batter) and then give rest for 10-15 mins and then mix eno salt and 2 Tsp water and mix well (do not mix over) and then cook the idlies in idli pot for 15 mins and then let them cool down first then serve with sambhar/chutney/ketchup.

(5) Oats Masala Idli is ready.
