Gulab Jamun Recipe


2 cups sugar

2 cups water

1 Tbsp milk

1½ cups khoya

1½ cups grated cottage cheese

2 Tbsp refined flour

1/2 Tbsp cornflour

1/4 Tbsp soda bicarbonate

1/4 Tbsp green cardamom powder

Refined oil


(1) In a sauce pan, add 2 cups sugar, add 2 cups water and heat it. Mix well and cooked until the sugar dissolve completely in water.

(2) As sugar has dissolved completely in water, add 1 Tbsp milk and bring it to boil. Remove the formation of scum on the surface with a tea strainer and keep aside.

(3) In a large plate, add 1½ cups khoya, add 1½ cups grated cottage cheese. (Remember: Mix well with hands). add 2 Tbsp refined flour, add 1/2 Tbsp cornflour, add 1/4 Tbsp soda bicarbonate, add 1/4 Tbsp green cardamom powder. Knead well until it becomes extremely soft.

(4) Now, prepare a smooth dough balls.

(5) In a frying pan, add refined oil and heat it.

(6) Now, when the oil is hot, add the dough balls in a frying pan and deep fry the dough balls until it turns into golden brown color.

(7) Soak the Gulab Jamun nicely in prepared sugar syrup(Remember: The sugar syrup should be little warm)

(8) Keep the Gulab Jamun aside for 3-4 hours, so that it absorb the sugar syrup well.

(9) Serve your delicious GULAB JAMUN.
