Upma Recipe is a south Indian breakfast recipe and one of the healthiest breakfast of all time.

INGREDIENTS -

1 cup semolina/sooji 

1 onion 

1/2 Tbsp oil 

1 Tbsp mustard seeds 

1 Tbsp urad dal

2/3 Tbsp carrots 

4/5 Tbsp boil green peas

1/2 Tbsp cumin seeds

A twig curry leaves 

1 green chilli

1 Tbsp ginger powder

3 cups of water 

Salt

DIRECTIONS

(1) Dry roast the semolina/sooji on low to medium flame till it turns into light golden brown color.

(2) Heat the oil in a frying pan on low to medium flame and add the mustard seeds, curry leaves, cumin seeds, chopped onion and saute until it becomes soft.

(3) Add the chopped green chilli and saute for a few seconds. 

(4) Add the green peas and carrots. saute for 1 minutes. 

(5) Add 3 cups of water in a frying pan on high flame and Mix. Bring it to boil for 1 minutes.

(6) Now slowly add the roasted semolina/sooji and stir continuously to avoid any lumps. Mix well. 

(7) Cook for 2-3 minutes on low to medium flame and Mix.

(8) Serve your hot delicious UPMA.
